Silver Valley Solutions LLC (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the US Citizenship Test 128 – CivicsPro mobile application and the website uscivicstest.us (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

We do not require you to create an account to use the app. We do not collect your name, email address, or personal identifying information unless you voluntarily contact us through our website contact form.

Device permissions

The app requests the following device permissions to enable its core features:

Microphone access: Used solely for speaking practice and mock interview simulation. Audio is processed on-device and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers.
Speech recognition: Used to check your pronunciation during reading and speaking practice. Speech data is processed via your device’s built-in speech recognition services — Apple Speech Recognition on iOS and Google speech recognition on Android — and is subject to that provider’s privacy policy.
Photo library access: Only accessed if you choose to save or share your study results or screenshots. We do not access your photos without explicit action on your part.

Usage data

We use a third-party product-analytics service (PostHog) to collect anonymous, non-identifying usage data that helps us understand how the app is used and improve it. This includes a random, app-generated identifier that is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, Google account, or any personal information and is not used to track you across other apps or websites; which features and study modes you use (for example, starting or completing a mock interview, opening the upgrade screen, or reaching a daily study goal); and basic technical context such as your app version, platform, and device language. We do not collect your study answers, scores, question content, precise location, or contacts through analytics, and this data cannot be used to identify you personally.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

Provide and improve the app’s features and study tools
Process purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play
Respond to your inquiries when you contact us
Fix bugs and improve app performance

Third-Party Services

Our app and website interact with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Apple App Store and Google Play In-App Purchases: Purchase and subscription billing is handled entirely by Apple on iOS and by Google on Android. We do not store your payment information.
RevenueCat: Manages in-app purchase receipts and unlocks Pro features after a purchase. It receives an anonymous, app-generated purchase identifier and the receipt returned by the App Store or Google Play. It does not receive your name or email. Apple and Google Speech Recognition: Powers the pronunciation checking feature — Apple Speech Recognition on iOS devices, Google speech recognition on Android devices.
Expo (by Expo Inc.): Our app is built using the Expo framework and may use Expo’s over-the-air update services.
PostHog: Provides anonymous product analytics to help us understand feature usage and improve the app. It processes only the non-identifying event data described above under “Usage data.” See PostHog’s privacy policy at posthog.com/privacy.
Amazon.com: Our physical flashcard products are sold through Amazon. Purchases made on Amazon are subject to Amazon’s privacy policy.

Data Storage and Security

Your study progress and app settings are stored locally on your device using device storage. We do not transmit or store this data on our servers. We implement reasonable technical measures to protect any information we do handle.

Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Since we store minimal personal data, there is little to request. However, you may:

Contact us to request any personal data we may hold about you
Request deletion of any personal data you have submitted via our contact form
Revoke device permissions at any time in your device’s Settings app (iOS or Android)
